Four year letter winner in both football and track. Played on two championship football teams as running back and halfback -1935, 1938. Captain of track team, 1937. Iowa Conference champion in both the 100 and 220- yard dashes and was the anchor man on the first place 880-yard relay team. Ran at three Drake Relays. Served in WW2 as an Air Force Captain. Administrator of Emmanuel Nursing Home and Lamplighter Apartments at Detroit Lakes, Minn., until retirement in 1981. Named Detroit Lakes Jaycees "Boss of the Year" in 1980.
