Four year starter on the football team at end or tackle. Named most valuable player by teammates as a senior. All-conference tackle and honorable mention all-state selection as a senior. Served as Luther’s line coach for 1930 football team. M.A. from Northwestern University. Coached and taught at Riverside-Brookfield High School in Illinois for 16 years. Also served 22 years as Principal at Independence, Iowa.
