Hall of Fame
• Three-year letter winner in basketball
• Named to Associated Press All-Iowa Conference basketball team as a junior and senior
• Played four years as a member of the tennis team and three on the football team
• Served as an officer at the U.S. Navy Pre-Flight School at the University of Georgia - 1947-48
• Served as an officer and coach of the Iowa Seahawks Pre-Flight Basketball team in Iowa City and Ottumwa - 1945-47
• From 1948 until his retirement in 1973 he was the Coordinator of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services for services of Veterans Administration facilities in Knoxville, Iowa, New York, and Danville, Ill.
