• Ran at three Drake Relays
• Served in World War II as an Air Force Captain
• Administrator of Emmanuel Nursing Home and Lamplighter Apartments at Detroit Lakes, Minn., until retirement in 1981
• Named Detroit Lakes Jaycees “Boss of the Year” in 1980
