Luther College

• Earned four letters in football as a tackle and end
• Captain of the football team his senior year
• Named to all-conference team and was an honorable mention all-state honoree as a senior 
• Was an assistant football coach for Luther in 1930 and 1949
• Taught and coached for 18 years in South Dakota and Waukon, Iowa
• Also worked for the Iowa State Highway Department for 20 years
