Luther College

Earned four letters in football as a tackle and end. Captain of the football team his senior year.  Named to all-conference team and was an honorable mention all-state honoree as a senior. Was an assistant football coach in 1930 and 1949. Taught and coached in South Dakota and Waukon, Iowa for 18 years. Also worked for the Iowa State Highway Department for 20 years.
