• During his freshmen year he broke two school records and one Iowa Conference record
• Three times Iowa Conference champion in the 440 dash and once in the half mile
• Member of the record setting sprint medley and distance medley teams
• Member of Luther’s first IIAC Track and Field Champions - 1957
• Master’s degree from Northern Colorado in 1962
• Director of Bands at Burnsville, Minn., Public Schools
