Hall of Fame
• Played every inning of Luther’s entire baseball schedule for four years
• During this time Luther was 44-16
• Served as captain and was named team’s most valuable player
• Played basketball for three years and was the starting fullback on the football team as a senior
• Signed with the Detroit Tigers in 1934 and played several seasons
• Following baseball career he taught, coached and was the principal at Lansing and Monona, Iowa, taking his baseball teams to six state tournaments
• Moved to Springfield, Minn., where he taught mathematics and served as Athletic Director since 1947
