Hall of Fame
• Transferred to Luther in 1931 from River Falls State, Wis.
• Two-year letter winner in basketball
• Played on first Luther Iowa Conference championship basketball team - 1932
• Led the team in scoring from his pivot position as a senior
• As mathematics teacher and basketball coach at his home town of Spring Valley, Wis., from 1933-39, he led his teams to three state tournaments
• From 1939-64 he coached basketball at Austin,Minn., leading his teams to nine conference championships
• Fourteen times his teams went to the state tournament placing second twice and winning state championships in 1946 and 1958
• Received several awards for his contributions to coaching as well as community honors
