Miller made his mark on the Norse men's track and field program, guiding the team to the conference championship in 1969.
Miller scored in multiple events during that particular track and field championship.
Won both the long jump and 220 meter dash.
Miller also scored in the 100 meter dash and three different relay races (440, 800, Mile) during the championship and set what was then the program record in long jump.
