Hall of Fame
• Came to Luther after earning all-state honors in football at Waco High School, Texas
• Four year letter winner in football, started all four years at left tackle
• Member of Iowa Conference championship teams -1935, 1938
• All-conference offensive line - 1936, 1938
• Following his junior year, "Tex" was voted Most Valuable Lineman
• Following the 1938 championship season, the Des Moines register picked him as the Outstanding Tackle in the conference and also named him second team all-state
• Graduate of Luther Theological Seminary
• Served on Luther's Board of Regents.
