Luther College

• Four-year letter winner in track who served as captain as a junior and senior
• Never lost a mile run in dual meet competition
• Lowered the Luther College mile record almost every time he ran
• Attended Luther Theological Seminary
• Taught English at a Mission School in Lebanon from 1931-34
• For 35 years he served a number of Midwestern pastorates
• In 1979 at the age of 73, he biked from Northfield, Minn. to Decorah for Luther Homecoming
