Won 12 letters in football, basketball, and baseball. Named to the first all-conference teams in basketball and baseball as well as the first all-state baseball team.  Most valuable player twice in baseball and once in basketball. Twice led the team in hitting with a personal high of .474 and a four year average of .400. Twice led the team in RBI. Served as captain of the basketball team. Played second base for the Boston Red Sox. Served as a scout for the Minnesota Twins.
