Four-year letter winner in football. Also played basketball and baseball. As the starting quarterback he led Luther to three winning seasons, including Luther’s first conference championship in football in 1932.  Teacher, coach and athletic director at Wayland Academy, Beaver Dam, Wis., 1936-42. Assistant field director, American Red Cross, 1942-1944. Served as teacher, coach and audiovisual and adult education director at Riverside-Brookfield High School, Riverside, Ill., 1944-74.
