• Started as a freshman and played virtually every minute on both offense and defense during his four years
• Helped lead Luther to the 1935 Iowa Conference championship outscoring opponents 77-0
• Served as co-captain in 1936
• After graduating he spent 40 years as head boy’s physical education instructor, assistant football and basketball coach at East Grand Forks, Minn.
