Four-year letter winner in football. Served as team captain his senior year.  Helped lead Norsemen through four winning seasons, climaxed by Luther’s first Iowa Conference championship - 1932.  Named all-Iowa Conference as a senior. Prior to his death in 1961, taught and coached at Mabel, Spring Grove, and Richfield, Minn..
