Four year letter winner in football, basketball and track. Most valuable player on 1932 football team - Luther’s first conference championship team. That same year he led the conference in scoring and was selected on Des Moines Register’s all-conference and mythical All-State Team. Played professional football with Chicago Bears. In track, he was a member of the half mile relay that placed first at the Drake Relays and conference meet setting a school record in the process. Spent the last 29 years of his teaching, coaching and athletic director career in his hometown of Glenwood, Minn..
