Hall of Fame
Three-year letter winner in football, basketball and baseball. Voted MVP by his teammates in all three sports. Led football team to undefeated season in 1935. All-conference half back that same season. All-conference guard in basketball during the 1936-37 season. Played professional baseball for three seasons with Milwaukee Brewers. Head basketball and baseball coach and assistant football coach at St. Olaf College. Enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and was decorated with the Asiatic Pacific Combat Ribbon. Inducted into Minnesota State Baseball Hall of Fame in 1960.
