Hall of Fame
• Three-year letter winner in football, basketball and baseball
• Voted MVP by his teammates in all three sports
• Led football team to undefeated season - 1935
• All-conference half back that same season
• All-conference guard in basketball - 1937
• Played professional baseball for three seasons with Milwaukee Brewers
• Head basketball and baseball coach and assistant football coach at St. Olaf College
• Enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and was decorated with the Asiatic Pacific Combat Ribbon
• Inducted into Minnesota State Baseball Hall of Fame - 1960
