Hall of Fame

A 1976 graduate of Luther, Neubauer led the Norse men's and women's track and field and cross country programs to new heights
Serving as head coach of the program from 1980-1986 after an impressive career as a student-athlete.
During his undergraduate career, Neubauer was voted team captain in both cross country and track and field and was a member of eight total (four XC, four TF) IIAC Conference Championship teams.
As a junior, Neubauer broke the program record in the 1000 yard run, clocking a time of 2:16.1 and a four year place winner in the 880 yard run
Three-year place winner in the Mile Relay team.

Coaching

Neubauer led the men's track and field team to seven IIAC Championships during his tenure as head coach and the women's cross country team to the same feat in 1987.
A five-time IIAC Coach of the Year
Neubauer coached two indoor and five outdoor NCAA All-Americans and helped 27 NCAA Championship qualifiers from 1980-1986.
In total 26 Luther student-athletes were crowned individual conference champions during Neubauer's tenure, including one conference MVP, and over 100 student-athletes earned All-Conference honors in outdoor track and field.
Neubauer additionally joins the 29 Hall of Famers he coaches during his tenure with the program.
