Luther College

Earned four letters in track and field as a sprinter and hurdler. Set Luther record in the 100-yard dash (9.9 seconds). Coached Duluth Denfield High School track team to state runner-up finish in 1948, a state championship in 1949, and a fourth-place finish in 1950.  Inducted into the Minnesota Track Coaches Hall of Fame, 1976.
