• Transferred to Luther after playing football at Drake and then spent two years of service for the U.S. Army
• Named IIAC all-conference football team as a center - 1957, 1958
• Served as co-captain his senior year
• First team All-District on offense and defense as a senior - 1958
• Honorable Mention Little All-American as a senior - 1958
• Handled place kicking duties for the Norse
• Luther won 20, lost 5, and tied 2 during his three seasons
• Member of the golf team for three years
• M.A. from Florida State University - 1961
• Artist-in-Residence at St. Ambrose College - 1969-74
• A concert pianist and realtor
