Hall of Fame
• Earned four letters in baseball and two in basketball
• After graduation taught social studies and physical education while coaching baseball, basketball and football at Climax, Minn., until 1965
• Returned to Luther to teach physical education and coach - 1965-69
• Coached three IIAC championship cross country teams - 1965, 1966, 1968
• Coached individual national cross country champion, Eugene Takle - 1965
• Coached two IIAC championship baseball teams - 1968, 1969
• Named IIAC Coach of the Year in cross country - 1968
• Named IIAC Coach of the Year in baseball - 1969
• Eighteen years as a coach and physical education teacher at Mayo High School, Minn.
• Named regional high school cross country Coach of the Year - 1974, 1984
