Luther College

Four-year letter winner in basketball. Played on IIAC championship basketball teams - 1943, 1949. Played in NAIA National Tournament - 1943. Served as co-captain during 1948-49 season. Named all-conference - 1949. Played in National AAU Tournament - 1949. Returned to Luther after leaving to served in the U.S. Army including 14 months overseas during World War II following his freshman year. M.A. degree in education, California State University, Long Beach, 1962.  Taught and coached in Nicollet and Hector, Minn., and Fullerton, Calif..
