• Coaching career (1985-2019) that included head men’s track & field coach (1987-2018); head women’s track & field coach (2006-18); assistant football coach (2001-2006); head men’s cross country coach (1997-2006);director of Luther Distance Runner Camp (1997-2018)
• He coached 532 all-conference performers
• He coached 106 conference champions
• He coached 48 All-Americans
• He coached the national champions indoor distance medley relay - 2001
• Norse Awards - Luther College Alumni Coach of the Year Award was named in his honor - 2018
• Presented the NCAA Bob Fredrick Sportsmanship Award, presented to one collegiate coach who was selected from all three divisions of the NCAA - 2019
