Hall of Fame
• Came to Luther from Wartburg College, then a junior college
• PM.E. from the University of Iowa, 1953
• Three year letter winner in basketball, baseball and track
• Helped lead Luther to first conference basketball title - 1932
• All-conference guard his senior year
• Held the Luther javelin record for 20 years
• Served in the U.S. Navy, 1944-46 with the rank of petty officer
• For 40 years served as a public school teacher and coach in Iowa and Texas
• Led the Stratford boy’s team in 1938, the girl’s team in 1943 and Independence (IA) boy’s team in 1954 to state tournaments
