Four year letter winner in football. Played on two Iowa Conference championships - 1935, 1938. Four letter winner in baseball. served as captain his senior year. was a teacher and coach in Spring Grove, Minn. - 1939-41. Served in the U.S. Air Force with rank of 1st Lieutenant during World War 2 - 1941-45. Manager of industrial relations for Giddings and Lewis Machine Tool Company 
until retirement in 1979. Served on board of directors for Wisconsin Safety Council, Kaukauna Community Hospital ad Sheltered Workshop.
