The American Rivers Conference has announced that senior Ben Phipps (Towns Park, Ardee, County Leuth, Ireland/Dundalk Grammar School) has been named the league's Golfer of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 10, 2022. This is the second week in a row he has been so honored.
This past weekend at the Augustana Invitational, Phipps finished in a a five-way tie for 18th out of 138 golfers, shooting rounds of 73-77-150.
As a team, Luther placed seventh from the field of 25 teams. The two-day tournament was played on the Par 72, Highland Springs Golf Course, Rock Island, Ill., that measured 6,777 yards.
The Norse senior holds a 73.8 stroke average on the season.
