The American Rivers Conference has announced that Luther College junior Will Overberg (Ankeny, Iowa/Ankeny Centennial) has been named the league men's soccer offensive player of the week for the week ending Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021. This is the second time he has been so honored this year.
Overberg helped lead Luther to wins over UW-Whitewater (4-0), Coe College (4-0) and Nebraska Wesleyan University (7-0), scoring four goals and added three assists. He recorded a hat trick during Luther's win over Coe, had one goal against the Prairie Wolves, and had one assist against UW-Whitewater. He has now scored 13 goals and has seven assists for 33 points that leads the A-R-C.
The three victories gives Luther an overall record of 9-4, 4-0 in the A-R-C.
