The American Rivers Conference has announced that Luther College senior Nyathi Motlojoa (Lesotho, South Aftrica/Grey College) has been named the men's tennis performer of the week for the week ending Sunday, March 6, 2022. This is the third time he has been so honored.
Motlojoa helped lead Luther to A-R-C victories over Central College (7-2) and Simpson College (9-0) on Saturday, March 5.
Motlojoa went 3-0 on the week, defeating Central’s Tanner Finken (6-3, 6-2) at No. 1 Singles. In doubles play at No. 1, Motlojoa partnered with sophomore Max Loen (Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) and defeated Central’s Finken and Nick Scott (8-3). Against Simpson, he teamed with senior Charlie Weill (St. Paul, Minn./Highland Park) at No. 1 and defeated Caleb Vasconez and Aaron Price (8-1).
Following the weekend, Motlojoa is now 12-3 in singles play and 11-5 in doubles play this year.
