The American Rivers Conference has announced that sophomore Dylan Wiemers (Coal Valley, Ill./Moline) has been named the league's men's tennis Performer of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 24, 2022. This is the first time he has been so honored.
Wiemers was 3-0 in singles this past week helping the Norse defeat the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (9-0) and A-R-C opponents Loras College (8-1) and Coe College (5-4). The 3-0 mark gives Luther an A-R-C record of 5-0, 12-9 overall
Playing at No. 5 against UWL, he defeated JT Dillon (6-0, 6-1). Playing at No. 3 in the Loras match, he posted a (6-1 and 6-2) victory over Sean Gelski. In the Coe match, he defeated Jordan Oaks at No. 5 (2-6, 7-5, 6-4) in the deciding match, that secured the 5-4 victory.
