The American Rivers Conference has announced that senior Tyler Boesel (Scandia, Minn./Forest Lake) has been named the league's Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 3, 2022. This is the second time he has been so honored.
Boesel helped lead Luther to a three-game series sweep of the University of Dubuque this past week. Boesel pitched game two of the series and threw a complete game. He faced 35 batters, allowing just one run on four hits, walked one and struck out 11, and held the Spartans to a batting average of .129. The 2021 all-conference honoree is now 2-1 with an ERA of 4.18 in 32.1 innings of work.
Following the weekend sweep, Luther improved to 5-3 in A-R-C play, 12-8 overall.
