The American Rivers Conference has announced that Luther College senior Devon Bourget (Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) has been named the league's women's tennis Performer of the Week for the week ending Sunday, May 2, 2021. This is the seventh time she has been so honored during her career.
Bourget helped lead Luther to the A-R-C AQ Tournament title and a berth in the NCAA III National Tournament. The Norse defeated Central College in the semifinals and Wartburg College in the championship match by identical scores of (5-0). The two wins
Bourget played with Shelby Cook (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) at No. 1 doubles and the duo defeated Olivia Phillips and Madison Overmann of Wartburg (8-4) and Karleigh Schilling and Alyssa Lewton of Central (8-4).
Due to the Conference’s NCAA Automatic Qualifier tournament being played to decision, both of Bourget’s singles matches at No. 1 were unfinished. She was leading (6-1, 2-2) vs. Schilling of Central and (6-2, 5-0) vs. Overmann of Wartburg.
