Box Score 2 The Luther College baseball team has advanced to day three of the double elimination American Rivers Conference Tournament. The Norse, the top seed of the tournament after winning the regular season title, lost their opening game to the No. 4 seed Wartburg (10-4). This afternoon, Luther defeated the No. 6 seed Loras (6-2) and the No. 3 seed Simpson (10-2). Luther will need to win three games on Saturday to claim the 2026 tournament title.
Saturday, Luther will battle the No. 2 seed Coe at 11 a.m. The winner of this game will face Wartburg who is unbeaten in the tournament and will need to defeat the Knights twice to secure the tournament title. The winner of the tournament earns the league's automatic bid to the NCAA III National Tournament.

Charles Running (8-1) went the distance on the mound. He allowed two runs on six hits, walked one and struck out 11.
Gavin Scurr and
Ty Grewal both had three hits.

Noah Kindem, Scurr,
Zach Gwost,
Tyrus Werner, and
Xavier Millan were all credited with one rbi. The Norse scored two runs in the first, three in the sixth and one in the eighth.

Luther 10, Simpson 2 - Luther improved to 33-10 following the victory over Simpson. The Norse tallied 10 runs on 10 hits. They scored five runs in the first, two in the second and three in the eighth.
Hayden Torgerson was 2-for-5 at the plate and drove in a team high four runs. He hit a three-run home run in the first, his third of the year. The home run was also the 45th by the Norse, tieing the single season school record that was set in 2024. Kindem had two hits and Grewal had three. Kindem and Werner both drove in two runs and Scurr drove in one. Millan tied the single season record for stolen bases with his 30th of the year. Cullen Stamp held the record alone set in 2024.
Nolan Klocke (6-1) pitched eight full innings en route to the win. He allowed two runs on six hits, walked four and struck out three.
