On Thursday, D3baseball.com announced the 2026 All-America teams. Luther College baseball senior pitcher Charles Running earned second team All-America honors. He adds another award after earning D3baseball.com all-region first team and American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings all-region honors on Tuesday. The last time Luther had a D3baseball.com All-America nod was Joey Cardamon in 2018 who was named as an honorable mention.
 
Running, the American Rivers Conference Pitcher of the Year, led the pitching staff this season with a 1.92 ERA (earned run average) with an 8-1 record in 70.1 innings pitched. He allowed 50 hits, 23 runs (15 earned), 29 walks and recorded 70 strikeouts. He limited opponents to a .199 batting average.
