Luther College Baseball senior pitcher Charles Running (Prior Lake, Minn.) was named to the 2026 D3baseball.com All-Region 9 First Team announced on Tuesday.
 
Running led the pitching staff this season with a 1.92 ERA (earned run average) with an 8-1 record in 70.1 innings pitched. He allowed 50 hits, 23 runs (15 earned), 29 walks and recorded 70 strikeouts. Running held opponents to a .199 batting average. He was also the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Pitcher of the Year. This season he was also the A-R-C pitcher of the week on May 4.
 
The Norse finished the season 33-13 overall and 19-5 in the A-R-C. The team won the A-R-C regular season title outright for the first time since 1985 and earned an at-large bid for the NCAA Division III National Tournament.
