Luther scored eight runs in the first frame and rolled to a 16-0 victory over Buena Vista University in the third game of this three-game series. The Norse had 14 hits and added two runs in the second and six more in the fourth to secure the win. Earlier today the Norse defeated the Beavers 8-0 in five and won the series 2-1.

Elsa Skeie hit a three-run home run in the first. Hannah Halverson hti a two-run home run in the second, and Morgen Hogenson hit a three-run home run in the fourth. Hogenson finished 3-for-3 with four rbi. Halverson had three rbi, while Sydney Schultz and Abby Spore were both credited with two rbi.

Sam Thompson pitched the first two frames and allowed three hits. Kendra Cooper, who was credited with the win, threw the final three innings and allowed two hits, walked one and struck out two.

The win gives Luther an A-R-C record of 7-6, 18-9 overall. BVU fell to 5-7 in league play, 13-11 overall.

Luther returns to action in six days when it will travel to Nebraska Wesleyan University. This three-game series will begin with a double header on Saturday, April 17 and will finish with a game on Sunday, April 18. Saturday's start time is 1:00 p.m. and Sunday's is Noon.
