ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Luther men's track and field team was at the Meet of Champions hosted by Augustana College (IL) Friday, April 17 through Saturday, April 18. No team scores were kept at the meet and for the first time this season a meet was able to finish without being shortened by spring weather. Jared Hanson finished as the runner-up in the decathlon with 5873 points which ranks seventh all-time. Jacob Bruns also was a runner-up in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:31.67.

Up next the 4x800 relay team will compete at the Drake Relays at 4:44 p.m. on Thursday, April 23 in Des Moines, Iowa. On Friday, the 5000-meter runners will go to the Rider/Bolstroff Invitational hosted by Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn. Then on Saturday, the team will be at the Drake Alternative hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn.
