The University of Dubuque maintained its hold of fourth place in the A-R-C standings thanks to a 66-43 victory over the men's basketball team tonight in the Stoltz Sports Center. The Spartans held the Norse to 32 percent from the field that included a 23.5 percent effort from behind the three-point line. Dubuque led the entire game leading at halftime 42-26 and outscoring the Norse 24-17 in the second frame.
Luther was led by
Charlie Wunderlich who tallied 15 points.
Andre Palavra and
Henry Kreckman were next with six each.
The Spartans were led by the foursome of Jacob Williams and Dylan Hibicke with 13 points each and Grady Thompson and Ethan Henderson with 10 each.
The win gives the Spartans a league record of 8-7, 15-9 overall. Luther fell to 3-12, 8-16.
Luther will wrap up its season at Central College this Saturday, Feb. 21. Start time is 4 p.m.
