PELLA, Iowa - The Luther men's basketball team beat Central 74-61 in the final game of the regular season. The Norse secured the series sweep over the Dutch for the first time since the 2019-20 season.
In the first half the score was tied four times and three lead changes. With 2:11 remaining before halftime, the layup from
Clint Smith tied the game at 29.
Owen Poloronis scored four points putting the Norse in front at halftime 33-29.Â
Luther controlled the second half with a 50 percent shooting percentage from the floor. The Norse outscored the Dutch 41-32 in the second frame.
Henry Kreckman scored 18 points and tallied 11 rebounds for a double-double.
Owen Bockenstedt scored 11 points and
Andre Palavra recorded 10 points.Â
Luther finishes the 2025-26 season 9-16 overall and 4-12 in the American Rivers Conference.Â
Owen Schipper led the way for the Dutch with 22 points. Central is 12-13 overall and 5-11 in conference play.
