The Luther College men's tennis team, ranked No. 55 in the NCAA III, had its season come to an end in the first round of the NCAA III National Tournament this afternoon in Whitewater, Wis. The Norse faced No. 29 UW-Whitewater and were defeated by a final of 4-0. Luther was making its fifth consecutive appearance in the national tournament and 12th appearance in school history.
The Warhawks jumped out to a 1-0 lead following doubles winning two of the three matches. Luther's No. 2 team of
Joao Benvenutti and
Abhay Chhabra posted the lone win (6-2) over Payton Adkisson and Tyler Nelson.
In singles, the Warhawks won at No. 1, No. 4 and No. 5 all in straight sets to secure the victory and advance to the second round of the tournament.

Luther finishes its season with an overall record of (21-6). The Norse had another outstanding season capturing their fifth consecutive regular season American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) title and fifth consecutive A-R-C Team Dual championship.
