The Luther College men's tennis team, the No. 1 seed for the A-R-C Tournament, have advanced to the championship match following a 4-0 victory over No. 4 seed Loras College this afternoon in the valley. The Norse won two of the doubles matches and only needed three wins in singles to secure the victory and improve to 20-3 for the year.
In doubles,
Joao Benvenutti and
Abhay Chhabra, ranked No. 10 in the Central Region, posted a (6-2) victory at No. 1.
Rhys Biro-Moore and
Jake Nelson won at No. 2 (6-1) to secure the doubles point.
In singles, Benvenutti defeated Gage Becker (6-0, 6-2) at No. 1. Gerarado Ramirez Mainou won at No. 4 (6-0, 6-0).
Dikshan Chhikara secured the match victory with a (6-4, 6-1) win at No. 5

Luther will host the championship match against Coe College on Saturday, May 2 at 1 p.m. The winner will earn the league's automatic berth to the NCAA III National Championships.
