Luther Men’s Tennis Set to Take on Rose Hulman In The NCAA III Tournament First Round On Thursday, May 7

DECORAH, Iowa – The Luther men's tennis team (21-3), ranked no. 44 by the ITA, will be making their 13th appearance in the NCAA Division III National Tournament for a seventh consecutive year. The Norse earned an automatic bid by defeating Coe College (4-2) in the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) tournament title match on Saturday, May 2. The title was the team's 12th in program history and the final time as a member of the A-R-C as Luther transitions to the Midwest Conference in the fall. They will play their first-round match against no. 67 Rose-Hulman in Chicago, Ill. where University of Chicago (UChicago) is the host team on Thursday, May 7 at 10 a.m. at the Stagg Tennis Courts on the campus of UChicago.
 
Rose-Hulman won their third straight Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) by defeating Anderson (IL) 4-0 in the championship. The Fightin' Engineers are 15-7 overall.
 
Luther and Rose-Hulman will meet for the second time in program history. The last time these two teams met was in the NCAA tournament on May 13, 2022 in St. Louis, Mo. The Norse defeated the Fightin' Engineers 5-0.
 
Also in the regional are no. 1 UChicago, no. 11 Kenyon College, no. 23 Gustavus Adolphus College, and Greenville University.
