Day Three Recap:
For the second time in three years the men's swimming and diving team has been crowned the American Rivers Conference Champions. The Norse won their first title in 2023 and returned to the top of the podium tonight. During the three days of competition, Luther tallied 681 points. Nebraska Wesleyan was second (613), followed by Loras (247), Simpson (187) and Coe 178.
Kevin Kretz was named the Swimmer of the Meet and
Colin Halverson was named the Diver of the Meet. This is the second time they have both been so honored.
Head Coach
Aaron Zander and his assistants were named the Coaching Staff of the Year.
Today, the Norse recorded 10 all-conference honors that included four conference titles, one A-R-C meet record, and seven new Luther top-10 marks.
Conference Champions:
Individual league titles were earned by
Drew Chamberlain in the 200 backstroke (1:52.26), Kretz in the 100 freestyle (45.98), and Halverson on the 3-meter board (11 Dives). Chamberlain collected his first conference title and third all-conference honor in the 200 backstroke. His winning time tonight ranks second all-time. Kretz won this third consecutive conference title in the 100 freestyle. His time ranks second all-time. Halverson is now a three-time all-conference performer on the 3-meter board. Tonight's total moved him into second on the all-time list.Â
The 400 freestyle relay of Kretz, Chamberlain,
Noah Cochran and
Nico Shrestha set an A-R-C meet record (3:07.85). This mark ranks fourth on Luther's all-time list.

Day Two Recap:
Luther holds a slim 25 point lead over Nebraska Wesleyan University heading into the final day of the A-R-C Championships. The Norse sit atop the leader board with 435 points, followed by NWU (410), Loras (176), Simpson (141) and Coe (116).
This evening, the Norse tallied nine all-conference performances that included four league titles. They also set two school record and posted six new top-10 marks.
Conference Champions:
Individual titles were won by
Kevin Kretz in the 100 fly (49.83) and
Drew Chamberlain in the 100 backstroke (50.88). Kretz's time was a new school record. Chamberlain's time ranks second all-time and this was his second consecutive title in the event and third time earning all-conference honors.
The 200 medley relay of Chamberlain,
Gabe Armstrong, Kretz and
Nico Shrestha own the event with a school record (1:32.58).
The 800 freestyle relay of Chamberlain,
Owen McCredie,
Brock Ohlensehlen and Shrestha posted a time of (7:04.82) en route to their first place finish. This time ranks eighth on Luther's all-time list.

At the conclusion of day one of the three-day American Rivers Conference Swimming and Diving Championship, Luther sits atop the leader board with 208 points. Nebraska Wesleyan is next (176), followed by Loras (86), Simpson (62) and Coe (57). Coe College is hosting this year's championship.
The Norse posted eight all-conference performances that included four first place finishes. The top-three finishers in each event earn all-conference honors.
Conference Champions:
Kevin Kretz won his second conference title in the 50 freestyle (2023, 2025) posting a time of (20.87) in the finals. During the prelims, he was clocked at (20.57) that is a new Coe pool record, Luther school record and A-R-C Championship record.
Jack Bell won his second consecutive 1-meter (11 dives) conference title while earning his third all-conference honor in this event. Bell posted a finals total of (476.35).
The 200 freestyle relay of Kretz,

Simon Argue won the event with a time of (1:25.27). This time is a new A-R-C Championship record and ranks fifth on Luther's all-time list.
The 400 medley relay of

Gabe Armstrong, Cochran and Kretz posted a winning time of (3:24.26). This mark is a new school record and A-R-C Championship record.
