Biography
Malecha earned three all-conference honors (top-3 place finishers) at the second official A-R-C Swimming & Diving Championships last year…he placed third in the 200 backstroke and 200 IM, and also swam on the third place 200 freestyle relay…he holds the school record for the 50 butterfly (23.30)…he also ranks ninth all-time in the 100 IM (56.73), sixth in the 50 backstroke (24.81), seventh in the 100 backstroke (53.30), seventh in the 200 backstroke (1:56.20), and fifth in the 100 butterfly (51.78)…Chi Alpha Sigma inductee…three times he has been named to the A-R-C Winter Sports All-Academic Team…three time College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-Districtc…while at Northfield High School he was a six-year letter winner…he swam on three Raiders teams that captured a Section 1A championship (2017, 2018, 2019)…in 2019 the Raiders were the Minnesota Class A state runner-ups…three times he earned Big 9 Conference all-conference honors…member of the National Honor Society…son of Jon and Lisa Malecha.
