DECORAH, Iowa - The Luther men's basketball team was beaten by Nebraska Wesleyan 70-53 falling to 4-4 overall and 0-2 in the American Rivers Conference.
Henry Kreckman recorded his second straight double-double with 12 rebounds and 11 points. The Prairie Wolves dis most of their damage beyond the arc shooting 51.7 percent.
Nebraska Wesleyan held a 46-34 lead at halftime by shooting 57.1 in the first half. To start the second half, three-pointers by
Owen Bockenstedt and Charlie Wundlich helped whittle the lead down to nine points (40-49) with 16:17 left. It would be the closest the Norse would get as the Prairie Wolves widened the gap once again to win the game.
Andre Palavra was 4-of-8 from the floor and 3-of-6 from the arc leading the team with 14 points. Kreckman followed with 11 points and Wunderlich scored 10 points.
Luther out rebounded Nebraska Wesleyan 34-28.
The Prairie Wolves had four players score double digits and were led by Nick Howard with 19 points.
The next game for the Norse will be on Wednesday, Dec. 10 when they will face Viterbo University at 7 p.m. in La Crosse, Wis.
