MOUNT VERNON, Iowa – The Luther men's basketball team closed their non-conference schedule falling to Cornell 69-60. The Rams shot 43.5 percent for the game including a 50 percent shooting percentage in the second half.
Cornell led wire-to-wire and their biggest lead of the game was 19 points with 6:30 remaining in the contest. The Rams leading scorer was Keon Talgo with 21 points and their bench contributed 36 of the points.
Andre Palavra led the team with 11 points followed by
Charlie Mason with 10.
Henry Kreckman had a team best seven rebounds.
Cornell is now 1-9 overall while Luther falls to 5-6.
Conference action begins for the Norse on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026 against Simpson with tipoff at 4 p.m. on the Birkestrand Family Court.
