MANKATO, Minn. – For the first time since the 2023-24 season the Luther men's basketball team improved to 3-0 after an 86-74 victory over Bethany Lutheran College. The Norse scored 43 points in both quarters. The game featured 11 lead changes and seven times the score was tied.
The Norse shot 53.8 percent from beyond the arc for a season best. The bench also chipped in 50 points.
Clint Smith led the team with 21 points for a new career best going 6-7 from the three-point arc.
Andre Palavra had his second 20-point game this season.
Henry Kreckman followed with 11 points and five rebounds. Charlie Wundelich was recorded 10 points.
Bethany Lutheran scored 38 points in the paint as they fall to 1-2 on the year.
The next game for the Norse will be at home against Emmaus University on Tuesday, Nov. 18 with tipoff at 7 p.m.
