Nationally ranked No. 19 Luther traveled to the University of Dubuque this evening and defeated the Spartans by a final of 23-16. The Norse are now 12-5 overall, 4-2 in the A-R-C and are tied for third place in the league standings with No. 9 Loras College and No. 18 Central College.
Noel Rosales Jr. (125) and
Connor Kidd (133) gave the Norse and early 8-0 lead thanks to back-to-back major decision victories. Two bouts later, nationally ranked No. 7
Clayton McDonough (157) recorded a tech fall (18-0) at 4:32.
Bryce McDonough (165) followed with an (8-6) win giving the Norse a 16-7 advantage.
Elijah Mitchell (184) posted a (5-3) victory and
Ben Strehlow (197) followed with a (10-2) major decision to secure the victory.
