DUBUQUE, IOWA – Connor Kidd,
Clayton McDonough and
Bryce McDonough will represent Luther College men's wrestling at the NCAA Division III National Wrestling Championship which will take place March 13-14 at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Norse finished 5
th out of 18 teams with 124 points at the NCAA III Region VI Wrestling Regional.

Connor Kidd was the regional champion at 133 posting two wins by fall in route to the region title. He won the semifinal match against no. 9 Connor Fieser of Loras College by fall (2:53). Then in the first-place match he won by fall over no. 5 Patrick Mullen of Wartburg College (1:46). Kidd surpasses Garrett South (2002-05) in career falls with 57 in his career.

Clayton McDonough (165) became the all-time career wins leader with 150 in his career. He passes Jeff Freidhof (1997-2000) who held the all-time record at 149-53. The record-breaking win came in the semifinal when he defeated no. 15 Aiden Brosinski of Wartburg College by decision 8-2. He finished runner up in the bracket and becomes a four-time NCAA Championship qualifier.

Bryce McDonough (174) won by decision over no. 12 Mike Slade of Wartburg by decision 8-3. In the first-place match he was defeated by no. 4 Dustin Bohren of Loras by fall (3:52). He will be making his first appearance at nationals.
