No. 25 Luther placed 13th at the 24-team NWCA/USMC Division III National Duals after posting victories over Albion College (MI) and No. 23 University of Olivet (MI) today. The two wins gives Luther a dual meet record of 8-4.
In the semifinal match of the Division III 13-16 bracket, the Norse defeated Albion 23-16. Trailing 9-6 after four bouts,
Brian Mitchell (157) gave the Norse what proved to be the lead for good, recording a tech fall (19-4) over Xavier Carpentier. No. 5
Clayton McDonough (165) followed with a fall (4:00) over Peyton Brooks. Albion battled back to within one (17-16), setting up
Ben Strehlow (197) and No. 4
Walter West (285) to secure the win. Strehlow won by sudden victory (11-8) over Bernard Harrison and West defeated Christopher Krum (2-0).

The Norse faced Olivet in the final match of the weekend and secured a 25-21 victory to claim 13th place.
Isaac Ayers (125) got things going with a (7-1) decision over Sean Pettigrew.
Caden Schrage (141),
Clayton McDonough (157) and
Braeden Hendel (174) all recorded falls. Strehlow (197) also provided bonus points with an (8-0) major decision that secured the victory for the Norse.
