The men's cross country team finished fifth at today's 51st All-American Invitational. The Norse posted 107 points. Macalester College won the team title, the first All-American Invite title in school history, with 39 points. The University of Dubuque was second with 64, followed by Augustana (IL) with 72 and the Luther Alumni with 73.
Individually, Macalester's Reece McKee crossed the finish line first with a time of 20:23 on the four mile course.
Luther was led by
Jack Bode who was 16th from the field of 119 competitors. Bode crossed the line clocked at 21:37.6.
The remainder of Luther's top-5 and where they finished included Garrett Seppanen (21st - 21:48.4),
Michel Heinrich (22nd - 21:49.4),
Christian Montover (23rd - 21:51.9) and
Kurt Lebakken (25th - 21:59.3).
Benjamin Gillikin (31sts - 22;26.4) and
Jacob Bruns (35th - 22.40.4) finished sixth and seventh respectively for the Norse.

Luther will return to action on Friday, Sept. 20, when it will compete at the University of Minnesota Roy Griak Invitational. Race time is slated for 11:30 a.m.
